KBIS 2025 - My Very First KBIS Experience! What is KBIS?
Hi, I have never introduced myself here in The Blog!
I am the Designer face behind all the Blog Posts, The Design Portfolio work, The Instagram Posts and everything in between. I love to imagine untouched spaces that have not had things moved from for years with vigor, function, color and beautiful finishes! Kitchen & Bathroom Design is my most favorite as these 2 spaces are so fluid that it moves with the Homeowners in terms of the Atmosphere that is created and the Purpose that they serve, since everyone uses a space differently.

But I want to dive into what you may be waiting to hear about! What is KBIS?
KBIS full form - “Kitchen & Bath Industry Show” is a week long (4 days to be precise) Exhibition showcasing the latest products that has entered the market or about to enter in the Kitchen & Bath Design realm! So to say in layman words - the latest greatest, technologically advanced or trending in design & color, Kitchen appliances, Plumbing Fixtures, Cabinetry, Tiles, pattern & colors that one cannot even imagine going into a Kitchen, Laundry, Bathroom or other areas of a home!
And then there is the Location: Las Vegas, Nevada OR Orlando, Florida - these are the 2 locations that past KBIS has been held in. It could not have been a more fitting location than Las Vegas - where everything is glitzy, glamorous & big. So is KBIS - its a Mega Kitchen & Bath Show that see about.
An internet excerpt of a recap of KBIS 2025 said this “With over 124,000 industry professionals at the show, the convention center was buzzing with excitement, making it the largest KBIS they've experienced so far!”
The magnitude of this show cannot be explained in words. Its truly an experience!

For this year - KBIS2025, that was held in Las Vegas, My experience and opportunity to attend & see was very unexpected. It was almost a last minute thing and I just got very excited that it happened.
So who arranges KBIS?
The National Kitchen & Bath Association or NKBA, a non profit organization for the Kitchen & Bath Industry based out of Pennsylvania, USA, arranges this show. NKBA has 71 Chapters across USA & Canada and is the world's leading kitchen and bath association, helping its members succeed through learning and certification, proprietary research & expert resources. And KBIS is an example of this expert resource - a Convention that happens once every year bringing together all Manufacturers, Suppliers, Designers, Design Enthusiasts and Students of Design in Kitchen & Bath!
So the next Question is - How did I get there?
As a member of the British Columbia Chapter of NKBA, at the beginning of this year I had been elected as the Communications Chair for NKBA BC. This is a volunteer role by which I am responsible for every kind of communication that announces happenings, events, latest news through social media, website and connections with designers to the outside world. This role is called a NKBA BC Chapter Officer and is 1 of 5 Officers in a Board of 5 elected Officials. Pretty important and snazzy … Huh?

Every Year elected officers from the Board of each Chapter get to go to KBIS, for education, training, connecting with other leaders from all chapters, and above all attending the Design Awards and the Exhibition. Its a whole package and the full trip and all expenses are sponsored by NKBA national (USA)! Going there at least once is a big deal and being able to attend KBIS as a Chapter Officer is like cherry on the top.
If you are following me on my Business Instagram account you might have seen all the posts I have been doing - “10 Days of KBIS2025” - showing snippets of the exhibition. There is just so much to see that you actually need 3 full days.

The 10th Day will be about this Blog post!
Since I was on Chapter Officer Training, the first Day fully went in attending Leader2Leader events & training and then followed by an evening of Glitz & Glamour at the National Kitchen & Bath Design Awards that was held at the Wynn Hotel in the Lafite Ballroom - an opulently gorgeous space, filled with top notch and glamorous décor from the floor to the ceiling! Even the Bathrooms were Opulent. I almost got a picture of the bathroom. Now as I think back, I should have got a few!
I could not but include some pictures here - So enjoy these pictures which gives you the glimpse but in no way makes justice for the real experience!
And I also have a YouTube Video for you!
Day 2 started with a mandatory meeting and presentation by the NKBA CEO, that all Chapter Officers had to attend called State of the Association which was a full report of how NKBA has grown from its inception to the present day, day to day Business as a Non-Profit Organization. It was an eye opener to see how the Organization has grown over the years from its inception back in 1963 in Philadelphia, when it was started by a handful of kitchen dealers with donation of $463 and was called then AIKD - American Institute of Kitchen Dealers. To know the long journey the NKBA has gone through and being a part of that felt not so bad!
Later that day I finally attended the Exhibition at the Las Vegas Convention Center the size of which was beyond I have ever seen or been to. 3 halls in 3 different locations but all connected from the indoors and outdoors and each were 15-20 minutes walk between them - The North Hall, West Hall, South Hall and then there was also a Central Hall!
How many Exhibitors were there?
So the Stats are 670 exhibitors filling up 500,000 square feet of exhibit space throughout 3 halls and an outdoor exhibit area! KBIS 2025 has been slated as the largest show in the history of NKBA! And 43,000 people registered for the show!
Now you can imagine when I say I was exhausted & tired with so much walking that day and the next. But what I saw & experienced in some of the outstanding booths was something I have never seen before - some spectacular & creative exhibits.
Few of the very outstanding ones, worth mentioning and the ones I found time visiting were
GE CAFE / MONOGRAM / PROFILE / APPLIANCE
Now imagine if these are only the few that I could visit and really see how big each of these were and how big the actual convention is. Out of these KOHLER had the biggest space. It could not be called a booth, it was a house!
So what did I actually see & could I share some of them?
Absolutely! lets start off with KOHLER. What was the greatest and latest from KOHLER? Below I have all the pictures and videos that will give you a pretty good preview!
KOHLER Kitchen & Bathroom
The Kohler exhibit had the biggest square foot area and they went all out, as I heard they do every year. Getting that kind of large scale exhibit is a feat. They had a wide array of new vanity areas, unique tub exhibits, their latest bar sink “Components” with a two function extended reach spout (very versatile), the “Statement” showers, the “SpaViva” hand shower which is part of their WaterSense® Collection.

The KOHLER “SpaViva” Handshower in action at the show.
For the Kitchen area they had the “Strive” Workstation sink on display and our friend Sandee even gave us a demo! The “Billet” pull down faucet was a beauty to behold with its industrial casting heritage look! At a $14K price tag was exhibited the Freestanding Sculptural Bath Tub called “Landshapes” a close resemblance to the rock sculptures of Daniel Arsham.
Above here is the “Strive” Workstation Sink.
To the right here is the “Billet” pulldown Faucet which shows the beautiful brushed look on the base of the controls.

GE CAFE/ MONOGRAM / PROFILE / APPLIANCE
The GE Display had multiple displays all connected and as I meandered in between them taking in the experience it seemed never ending and one area led into another in an experience of myriad colors and sparkling appliances! One interesting Concept that CAFE did was to have the 4 Seasons of display (it felt like my Company Name - Seasonal Leaf) with combinations of their Matt White, Matt Black body mixed with their 3 metal finishes of Brushed Brass, Copper, Bronze. The displays were all very colorful, fun and funky!
I have a Special Mention about GE CAFE APPLIANCES exhibit at the KBIS 2025 show - They did a “Seasonal Harmony” Display with their appliances, like I mentioned above. I would like to do a Separate Blog Post about them as I feel it needs a special explanation so if you are Inspired by it you will be able to reflect some of the style in your Home Renovation if your are Homeowners or with your Client’s Renovation if you are a Designer in the Kitchen & Bath Industry!
I could not help but create a video with all I could capture. Hope you have fun watching!

SMEG
As cute as Smeg appliances are, they are in colors that make you feel you want to own one. This year we saw some very interesting colors that were on display and I had some time to capture some of them! Did see some ranges and wall ovens but there was nothing Retro about them even though that is normally the style of Smeg.
Here is a short video with a glimpse of Smeg display!
MAESTROBATH
Honestly speaking I have not till now seen such luxurious and bejeweled Bathroom Fixtures yet! Each item in this booth exhibit was a piece of art, sparkling, with a gold leaf finish, crystal specked, diamond edged, glamorous in not only the finish but also the shape.
Below is a small visual in video form of some of the products and its sparkle that I captured.
